Jaguars Hire Jedd Fisch As New OC

Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley has hired Miami Hurricanes offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch to the same position. Fisch spent the last two years as Miami’s play-caller and quarterbacks coach, and his pro-style offense was consistently one of the most efficient in the country. The Jaguars ranked 29th in the league in total offense this season.

Gus Bradley former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator has accepted the head coaching job with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pete Carroll has given Bradley strong endorsement. Bradley just completed his fourth season in Seattle. His defense finished first in the NFL in points allowed (15.3), fourth in yards (306.2) and tied for fourth in takeaways (31).

Jaguars Fired Mike Mularkey

Jacksonville Jaguars fired coach Mike Mularkey on Thursday after just one season, the worst in franchise history. The move came 10 days after Khan fired general manager Gene Smith. Khan also introduced new GM David Caldwell on Thursday, and by parting ways with Mularkey, gave him a clean slate heading into 2013.

Vince Wilfork Fined $30k

New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork was fined $30,000 by the NFL for unnecessary roughness in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. On a change of possession play, Wilfork struck Jaguars offensive lineman Steve Vallos in the head with his forearm. Wilfork discussed the penalty after the game, saying he was sticking up for a teammate.
