Johnson Breaks Rice’s Record

Calvin Johnson set the single-season receiving record with 1,892 with one game left. Jerry Rice held the previous receiving record with 1,848 for San Francisco in 1995. Calvin Johnson became the only player with 100 yards receiving in eight straight games and the first with 10 receptions in four games in a row in league history. He had 11 receptions for 225 yards, after making the record-breaking catch in the fourth quarter, Johnson jogged over to the sideline and handed the football to his father.

NFL Week 12 Leaders:

Passing – Matthew Stafford, DET – QB – 31 comp – 61 att/ 441 yds/ 2 tds
Rushing – Bryce Brown, PHI – RB – 19 car/ 178 yds/ 2 tds
Receiving – Dez Bryant, DAL – WR – 8 rec/ 145 yds/ 2 tds
Defensive – Stephen Tulloch, DET – LB – 12 solo/ 3 ast/ 15 total

In the passing game, I chose Matthew Stafford over Tony Romo even though they both threw for 441 yards and Romo threw for an extra touchdown but Romo did have 2 interception. As far as the running game, Bryce Brown did his thing this week with 178 yards but he also had 2 fumbles. Now when it comes to Receiving Andre Johnson and Julio Jones both had more yards then Dez Bryant but Johnson had no touchdowns, Jones had 2 tds and Bryant had 3 and we all know touchdowns win games. Last on defense Jerrell Freeman had 16 total tackles and Stephen Tulloch had 15 but Tulloch had 12 solo tackles compared to Freeman’s 9. Don’t get mad at me, I’M JUST KEEPINIT REAL.
