Rob Ryan Nearing A Deal
Rob Ryan nearing deal to be hired by St. Louis Rams as defensive coordinator. The departure of Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and linebackers coach Bob Sutton prompted speculation that Rob might join twin brother Rex as one of his assistants with the Jets but there apparently will be no Ryan brothers reunion in New York.

Cowboys Hire Monte Kiffin
The Dallas Cowboys have hired Monte Kiffin as their new defensive coordinator, three days after firing Rob Ryan. Kiffin spent 26 years as an NFL assistant coach, including a 13-year run as Tampa Bay’s defensive coordinator before returning to college football in 2009.

Cowboys Fired Rob Ryan
The Dallas Cowboys informed defensive coordinator Rob Ryan on Tuesday he would not be returning to run the team’s defense in 2013-14. Ryan’s defense finished 19th overall, 17th against the run and 21st against the pass.
